State of Social Media: Getting the Picture at IBS 2015

I bet you still think that a picture is worth a thousand words! Well, that is a bit of an understatement with today’s highly visual online sites. Images, unlike text, are processed by your long-term memory. And, if that isn’t enough, images are proven to increase audience engagement!  I hope you will join me as I present “The State of Social Media 2015: Getting the Picture” with Chad Davis, Senior Director, Online Services and Digital Media for NAHB at the International Builders’ Show (IBS) in Las Vegas.

We will present our session on Thursday, January 22, in the Tech Hub from 10 – 11 a.m.
Chad and I have covered a number of topics related to social media at trade shows over the past several years. From blog trends to pay to play on Facebook, The State of Social Media, has covered the latest and kept members of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) up to date.

Over the past few years, The State of Social Media has offered attendees a broad look at the latest developments in social media, but this year’s session goes deeper: discussing the increasing importance of images in social media and the importance of developing a visual identity for your company, positioning your company to take advantage of digital image trends social media, best practices, how images can improve search results and encourage readership and the legal ramifications and pitfalls of digital image use today.

Attendees will learn what works on blogs, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest and Houzz, and will hear about NAHB’s experiment with SnapChat.
