mRELEVANCE Chicago teamIt has been an award-winning month for the mRELEVANCE team! In addition to our six OBIE awards for work in Atlanta, we were also honored by the Home Builders Association of Greater Chicago with two SAMMY awards for marketing at the recent Key Awards banquet.

It is always nice to be honored for client work, as well as our own marketing campaigns. The awards we won in Chicago are:

•    Corporate Specialty Piece – Brochure: The new mRELEVANCE brochure was conceptualized, written and designed by the agency’s talented copy writers and graphic designers. Created to inform potential clients of the agency’s wide range of product offerings, the brochure features a fun accordion fold with information presented in a professional, conversational format.

•    Website of the Year – Custom Builder: The new Drake Group website was designed to appeal to both of the Chicago-area builder’s markets — custom Read More→

mRELEVANCE teamI am thrilled to announce that mRELEVANCE, LLC was recently honored by the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association with six OBIE awards at its 33rd Annual Awards ceremony!  This is a testament to the hard work of our entire team on behalf of our clients.

We are proud of our award-winning projects: our new mRELEVANCE brochure, The Providence Group’s new website and the social media campaign we created for Traton Homes.

The new mRELEVANCE brochure combines informative content and eye-catching design. The brochure’s fun accordion fold definitely makes a memorable impact in the minds of clients and potential clients.

“Where Will Traton Home Spring Up Next?” was a comprehensive, interactive campaign that encompassed a wide variety of social media sites while creating excitement for one of the builder’s new communities, as well as their recently announced communities.

The Providence Group’s mobile site won gold for its overall design and its Read More→

Carol MorganI recently had the chance to talk about my new book, Social Media 3.0, with my good friend Todd Schnick on his Intrepid Radio show. As usual, his show and interview style lived up to its name. He is truly fearless!

During the interview we discuss what readers can expect to find in the book’s third edition, including the fact that 40 percent of the content is new. From the social media veteran looking for new ways to use and expand their social media presence to the floundering beginner who just needs help getting started, there is definitely something for users of all skill levels in Social Media 3.0. mRELEVANCE celebrated 5 yearsWhat a milestone! mRELEVANCE is five years old. We launched the company in the summer of 2008 knowing that the collective knowledge of our two companies (Flammer Relations, Inc. and Mitch Levinson Consulting, Inc. – a combination of 25 years experience) would benefit our clients, and that we were already positioned where other agencies were trying to be.

Mitch and I introduced the two teams to each other and our concept of a unified agency with the “Who got their chocolate in my peanut butter” concept that Reece’s peanut butter cups used for so many years in advertisements.  We had a jar of Jiff, a Hershey’s chocolate bar and a skit all planned out.  It was pretty funny because the majority of the team wasn’t old enough to remember the ad, and they pretty much just laughed at our antics. Luckily, we had the ad available on YouTube as a backup, and they soon understood our positioning.

From there we have grown. I am proud to reflect over the past five years and some of our many milestones:

  • Today we have a staff of 18 full and part-time employees
  • We maintain offices in Atlanta and Chicago allowing us to service clients across the U.S.
  • Both Mitch and I have published books
  • Several of our Atlanta team members are “be backs” – Laura Craft and Amanda Winters were both on board in 2008 when we launched and after going in other directions, found their ways back home
  • Our clientele ranges from home builders to medical equipment companies, sporting teams, technology companies, financial services, kitchen and bath products and more
  • We have won numerous awards for our creative campaigns
  • Both Mitch and I have spoken to HBAs around the country and at the International Builders Show
  • I am the vice chair of NAHB’s Professional Women in Building and Mitch is the vice chair of the Institute of Residential Marketing

I can honestly say that the sum of the whole is greater than our individual parts. I have achieved many things in the past five years that I would have never even dreamed of, much less achieved. That said, I’d like to personally thank each and every member of the mRELEVANCE team past and present that worked to get us where we are. Most of all, I’d like to thank Mitch for his high expectations and for believing in me.

Vegas Baby, Vegas!

International Builders ShowNext week I’m attending the 2013 International Builders Show in Vegas! IBS is always a blast because I get to network and catch-up with my friends from around the country.  Additionally, I am running for Vice Chair of Professional Women in Building. This is an amazing group of women that represent all facets of the industry. It will be a pleasure to work on a national level to represent them!

Finally, I am presenting for the fifth year at the International Builders Show. The first time I presented was in 2009 when I presented “How to Be a Social Media Butterfly.” It is kind of crazy to reflect back, but that was the first social media presentation at IBS. Now five shows later, I’m presenting, “Beyond Facebook: Pinterest, Google+ and More” with two fellow MIRMs. This seminar is geared toward those who have Facebook, Twitter and blogging down and are looking for the newest social media tools. We will discuss the importance of and how to develop content that drives sales; mobile websites; QR codes and the fastest growing social media sites in the industry: Google+, Pinterest, FourSquare, Instagram and Houzz.

My co-presenters are Kelly Fink of The Providence Group and Paula Huggett of The Bokka Group. We’ve each spent lots of time preparing for the seminar, and Read More→
